What we collect
- Account details: name, email address, business name, account type, and team members you invite.
- Your requests: your answers on the request form, messages, files and content you send us.
- Jobs and billing: quotes, approvals, invoices and payment status (we record how an invoice was paid, for example "cash" or "Zelle"; we do not store card or bank numbers).
- Records of agreement: when you accept a quote or these policies, we record the time, your IP address and browser type, to prove the agreement.
- Questions from the public "Ask" form: your name, email and question.
- Technical basics: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, pages requested, time), and our pages load fonts and code from Google Fonts and jsDelivr, which see your IP address when they do. We don't use advertising cookies, analytics trackers, or sell or share your information for advertising. Your login is kept in your browser's storage so you stay signed in.
Programs we build that run on your computer keep your passwords and email access on your computer, in Windows' own password store. We don't receive them.
If you buy from a store we run for one of our customers (Anvil Shops): your order details (name, email, phone, shipping address and what you bought) are stored for that store's owner so they can fill your order. Payment happens on the store owner's own payment page (for example Stripe); we never see your card. The store owner is responsible for how they use your details.
How we use it
To build, deliver, host and support your jobs; to send quotes, invoices and "you have an update" emails; to answer questions; to keep business, tax and legal records; and to keep the service secure.
Who processes it for us
We only share information with companies that help us run the service, and only what they need:

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or as part of selling or reorganising the business.
How long we keep it
While your account is open, and afterwards as long as needed for tax, accounting and legal reasons (usually 7 years for billing records). Cancelled jobs keep a small record (request, answers, messages); the built work is deleted. You can ask us to delete your account.
Your choices and rights
You can see and update most of your information in your portal. Email us to get a copy of your information, correct it, or delete your account (we'll keep what the law requires us to keep). We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Security and breaches
Access is limited by account and enforced on our server. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we'll notify you and, where required, the North Carolina Attorney General, as North Carolina's Identity Theft Protection Act requires.
Changes
We'll post changes here and tell you by email or in your portal before they take effect.
